Yellowstone
July 23

Kind of gives you the willies don't it.
Today we left Tower-Roosevelt and headed for the Old Faithful Inn.
This Dragonfly landed right by my foot along the walk near Old Faithful Geyser.

Vent, Turban, and Grand geysers all go off simultaneously.

The amount of water gushing from Grand is amazing.

And it's eruption lasts a good 15 minutes like this.

When it's all over, the pool is empty. Come back in 6 to 10 hours for the next show.

It's fun to watch Sawmill geyser, it seems to always find a victim to spray.

It's not polite to point
It's amazing how many people gather for an eruption of Old Faithful.

It's a law that you have to have a picture of Old Faithful on any Yellowstone website.
Old Faithful.

Evil... pure evil.
Did this guy follow us?

Honey... The toilet's overflowing!
Another favorite is Riverside geyser. It's just getting ready to go now.

Mega-drano does the trick!
It sprays it's water at an angle into the Firehole river.

At the right time of day, rainbows can be seen.

This was a really nice day for geyser watching.

At sunset, Castle geyser went off.

And continued into the night...

A whole day of geyser watching... Time for dinner!
