Tabitha endures snow.

Thanks Jim, your house
was perfectly hospitable.

The group photo in Wrightwood.

Jim's neighborhood becomes a winter postcard.

Kai endures the snow.

Next morning, we head to the riverbed in search of Actinolite.

Still wintery but it's a nice day.

The snowdog in his native environment.

Finding some quartz and actinolite.

Looking for that elusive specimen.

An actinolite boulder.

A smaller, hand-sized sample.

Well, that was all quite fun! Let's go to the desert!

Somewhere in the middle
of the desert. Cold and windy.

High above the desert floor, the group looks for feldspar crystals
exhibiting Carlsbad twinning.

Here's a feldspar with Carlsbad twinning.

A collection of quartz points and feldspar crystals from the Sentinel
Rock site.
